An open question: where did "Davis" come from?
Grandfather Frederick was born a Flett at St Clements, Manitoba, on 13 April 1893, son of George Peter Flett and a Margaret Anne whose maiden name is still unknown. By the time his sons were born in Winnipeg the family name was Davis. Nobody has yet found the record that explains the change: an adoption, a stepfather, or a decision to take a new name. If you know anything about this, or have papers from Frederick or Lillian, that is the single most useful thing you could add to this tree. Open Frederick's entry.
